8. Cookies, Local Storage & Your Privacy Rights

ClipRoots does not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. The following is stored locally in your browser or through our authentication provider:

  • Theme preference — saved in your browser's local storage so the site remembers your light/dark/auto choice.
  • Sign-in session — when you sign in to comment, our authentication provider (Supabase) stores a session token in your browser so you stay signed in between visits.

You can clear either of these at any time by clearing your browser's site data for ClipRoots.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your information — for example, the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you under laws such as the GDPR (EU/UK) or PIPEDA (Canada), and, for California residents under the CCPA/CPRA, the right to know what personal information is collected and to opt out of its sale (ClipRoots does not sell personal information). To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in the Contact section below.

9. DMCA Policy

Our copyright takedown and counter-notice process now has its own page: see the DMCA Policy for how to report an infringing clip, our Designated Agent's contact details, and the repeat-infringer policy.
